Colette Sturgis
Colette Sturgis, BS, CD, from the Bronx, New York, attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she majored in Biology and was a premed student. Fascinated by the miracle of childbirth, she decided that working with pregnant women, particularly those who did not have family support, was truly what she wanted to do. She is a Certified Doula and coordinates a team of Community Health Workers who provide home visiting services to pregnant and parenting women in underserved areas of the South Bronx, in N.Y.C., with the goal of improving the infant mortality rate. Colette proclaims, “Whole Health Education is bringing all of my knowledge full circle in a powerful and meaningful way. I can now clearly see how everything in the universe is truly connected.” |
