• All programs are offered in a self-directed, distance learning format with professionally produced DVD courses, Whole Health and Whole Foods texts and books, as well as comprehensive, evidence-based curriculums.

• All NIWH programs include as part of the curriculum at no additional fees, accredited continuing education credits for health care professionals including nurses, dieticians and licensed nutritionists, certified health educators, personal trainers, therapeutic massage therapists and body workers, licensed social workers, chiropractors and acupuncturists.

• All NIWH graduates are enrolled as Select Providers for Blue Cross, Blue Shield and other national insurance company networks, and as such can order Nutritional Blood Analysis from accredited labs, open professional accounts with the country's leading organic whole food supplement distributors and health care product companies who only serve credentialed health care professionals.

• In addition to the written, book and media course work, students may choose to attend in-person courses designed to further enhance their understanding, and a more comprehensive integration, of our whole picture of health® curriculums.

• All students receive toll-free telephone and on-line e-mail support, as well as password protected access to the on-line NIWH Student Lounge and Curriculum Forums.
  
  
• The in-person courses provide curriculum relevant, evidence-based health and nutrition courses, as well as our outstanding Celebrity Speaker series. For those who cannot attend in-person, web streaming of selected in-person courses are provided in our password protected On-line Classroom.
  
  
• While students are not required to attend in-person courses, these courses provide the learner an opportunity to interact with instructors, nationally recognized health and nutrition experts and authors, as well as the NIWH resident students.

NIWH offers various programs for professional career advancement and continuing education both in-person and through our DVD based distance learning format. These programs are called Tracks and include:

Track A: Whole Health Educator certification - for individuals with previous training or an accredited degree in health or related majors; nutrition, science, education, fitness, psychology, public health or an accredited CAM education or training. Includes professionally accredited continuing education credits for licensed health care providers.

Track B: Nurses - Whole Health Educator - certificate program for Nurses - An Endorsed Program of the American Holistic Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau - the International Honor Society of Nursing, Nursing Knowledge International. NIWH is Approved as a Provider of Continuing Education for Nurses by the Vermont State Nurses' Association, Inc, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program provides 352 approved contact hours for nurses.
 
Track C: Certified Nutrition Educator - for individuals with previous training or an accredited degree in health or related majors; nutrition, science, fitness, education, psychology, public health or an accredited CAM education or training. Includes professionally accredited continuing education credits for licensed health care providers.

Track D: Whole Health Coaching - health coaching skills and health advocacy program designed for health care allied health care professionals with accredited training, education, certification or licensure in their respective specialty. Includes professionally accredited continuing education credits for licensed health care providers.

Track E: Approved Continuing Education - professionally approved, individual media-based courses provide contact hours for the following Health Care Professionals: all nurses, dietitians, licensed nutritionists, certified health educators, certified personal and fitness trainers, therapeutic massage therapists and body workers, social workers, licensed chiropractors and acupuncturists.
