Los Angeles, CA and Wellesley, MA, April, 2014 – The National Institute of Whole Health (NIWH), the nationally recognized leader in the fields of Whole Health Education® and Whole Person Care™, announced today its educational partnership with WellPeople.com, the pioneers of the Wellness Inventory Program developed by wellness visionary John W. Travis, MD, MPH.

NIWH and WellPeople, the first whole-person health and wellness programs in the U.S., have collaborated to bring their remarkable trainings together to provide a complete healthcare focused education and self-directed coaching tool to credentialed healthcare and health education professionals.

The Wellness Inventory, a comprehensive, online whole-person well-being program, will become part of the Case Study portion of NIWH’s Whole Health Education ® curriculum  on June 1, 2014. The Wellness Inventory’s unique whole person assessment process provides well being and motivation profiles in 12 key areas.  The program’s suite of dynamic coaching and wellness tools help people translate their new awareness into sustainable lifestyle change.

The Whole Health Education curriculum trains credentialed professionals in evidence-based health sciences from a physical, emotional, nutritional, environmental and spiritual perspective, integrating a whole person approach to health education which invites the individual into the center and control of their own health and well-being. This whole person health education approach is a major focus of the current healthcare reforms.

Combined, these clinically researched programs provide a complete health education and wellness coach training that meets the target focus of today’s health care reforms, which places health and wellness education and patient advocacy in the forefront of provider interactions with their patient populations.

“We are excited at the prospects of collaborating with NIWH to provide a comprehensive whole person educational platform for today’s health care provider,” states Jim Strohecker, President and CEO of WellPeople.

“Integrating whole person wellness with whole person health education creates a  dynamic model for serving the needs of 21st century patients, and supporting them in becoming more deeply engaged in their personal health and well-being,” adds Strohecker.

Maureen Landry, CEO of Whole Health Inc, has this to say of the partnership. “This is a brilliant marriage of the two leading, innovative and evidence-based health and wellness programs that together deliver every possible skill and all the knowledge necessary for any health professional to aid in the progress of national wellness and disease prevention. This educational marriage raises the bar and sets new standards for excellence in health and wellness education and coach training.”
