In-Person vs. Self-Directed Classes

What is the difference between the In-Person courses and the Learning at a Distance courses offered through the National Institute of Whole Health (NIWH)?

A standard natural health school curriculum is based on attendance of in-person classes. On-line holistic health care schools offer an alternative to the in-class setting, but provide no opportunity for student participation or interaction.

NIWH is the only evidence-based natural health school that offers the convenience of distance learning that on-line holistic health care schools do, but with the added benefit of optional attendance at in-person classes which include guest lectures with nationally renowned physicians, health and nutrition experts.

Both In-Person and Distance Learning curriculums include:
  • Professionally produced DVD course work
  • Comprehensive, beautifully bound curriculum
  • All texts and books
  • On-line and toll-free phone support
  • Guaranteed Student Financing
  • Optional In-person courses, conducted at a Harvard affiliate hospital

Distance Learning students work at their own pace in the privacy of their home or office or where ever is convenient for them. Distance Learning students may attend in-person courses as their schedule allows OR stream on-line videos of the in-person courses. This feature is designed exclusively for the Distance Learner!

The Distance Learning student may make arrangements to attend any or all of the in-person courses by contacting the registration office at: 1-888-354-HEAL (4325)

In-Person Courses
The in-person student is required to view all DVD programs as part of their coursework.

The in-person curriculum presents Whole Health related courses designed to enhance further integration of the Whole Health Education curriculums. In addition, Celebrity Guest Speakers present on various health topics related to the Whole Health courses.

  • The Whole Health curriculum courses consist of presentation on the following subjects: Whole Health Philosophy, Integrated Anatomy and Physiology, Communication Skills and Peer Counseling, Whole Person Nutrition, Diseases States, Mind/Body Healing, Ethics, and other curriculum related topics

NESWHE offers the in-person curriculums as an option for those who learn best in an interactive environment. The classroom environment provides an opportunity to interact with instructors and like-minded students.
