September 15, 2011 – teenDailyStrength, in partnership with HealthCorps.org, an organization founded by Dr. Oz, has tapped the expertise of NIWH Program Director, Dr. Georgianna Donadio. Through her new blog, Donadio is now sharing holistic health information she has learned in over 35 years of private practice treating teens and as the mother of three young adults.

“Georgianna has a unique way of making complex subjects understandable by young people without talking down to them,” said Lars Nilsen, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for teenDailyStrength. “We have been incredibly pleased with the articles she has written for DailyStrength and knew she would be perfect for this new initiative.”

teenDailyStrength is a new health-focused social network designed especially for teens and brought to you through a partnership between Sharecare.com and HealthCorps.org. In an age where teens are spending more time online communicating and sharing information with their peers in an un-moderated and un-supervised fashion, teenDailyStrength offers passively-moderated Support Groups focused on the health issues teens are most concerned about.

So far Donadio has blogged about topics ranging from The Unique Teenage Brain to how to solve acne naturally. Future blogs will be posted on teenDailyStrength on a monthly basis.

“The sooner we can get health information to young people so that they can prevent chronic disease and manager their health concerns, the better,” said Donadio. “I love educating teens because we’re able to get important knowledge to them before bad habits and behaviors form.”
