integrative nutrition February 28, 2011 NIWH Launches Online Certificate of Study ProgramsFebruary 28, 2011, Wellesley, MA — The National Institute of Whole Health (http://www.niwh.org), pioneers of Whole Health Education® and Whole Person Health Care™, today announced the offering of three new online certificates of study programs. Designed for individuals who work outside the healthcare field, the Whole Health Science, Whole Health and Wellness and Health and Wellness Coaching programs enable people to enhance their understanding of whole person health, nutrition and self-care so that they can take greater control over their personal health and longevity.

In addition to utilizing the programs for personal health and well-being, individuals may use the Health and Wellness Coaching certificate of study program as a building block towards gaining the knowledge, skills and credentials necessary to enter the allied health field. By taking this comprehensive, entry level program and then going on to earn an allied health certification or license, an individual can re-direct their non-health related career to become an allied health professional.

Conducted entirely online by leading experts in holistic health and integrative nutrition, the program ranges from 12 to 28 courses with classes on topics such as nutrition for the whole person, whole body wellness, the hidden factors of obesity, in-depth body function analysis, how the body copies with stress, food biochemistry, brain nutrition and mindful counseling.

  • Whole Health Science Certificate of Study – Through 12 courses, participants learn the basics of how to apply scientifically-proven holistic health and wellness information to their own personal health with courses on nutrition, inflammation and disease.
  • Whole Health and Wellness Certificate of Study – This introduction to holistic healing consists of 20 courses that teach how to cope with chronic illness, deal with stress, manage chronic health conditions and more.
  • Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate of Study – Learn the skills needed to facilitate your own health as well as those around you. This 28 course program examines the how and why of evidence-based whole health approaches to self-care, including holistic health practices for addressing chronic health conditions.

“Over the years, we have had tremendous interest from consumers who desire to study and apply Whole Health sciences to their own personal healthcare, but do not necessarily wish to take a professional training, which is long and expensive. We also hear from many individuals seeking to re-direct their careers towards health and wellness,” said Dr. Georgianna Donadio, Program Director for NIWH. “The NIWH entry level programs lay a foundation in health and wellness sciences that can be built upon with additional education and training to establish a career in allied health and whole health.”

NIWH courses are delivered through a relationship-centered, whole-person health focused program and are designed to empower the learner and their clients with demystified health information to take greater control over their health and wellbeing. In addition, all courses are video-based and streamed online from anywhere in the world.

The certificate of study programs start at $1,495 and are available immediately. To register or for more information, visit http://www.wholehealtheducation.com/whole-health-programs/certificate-of-study-programs/.
